AQUARIUM IN TÜRKIYE
In the northern province of Trabzon, the government project Trabzon Ortahisar Aquarium features a breathtaking aquarium located inside a road tunnel. The unique attraction covers an area of 3.500 square meters, offering eight zones for guests to explore.
With 1 million liters of water and 61 different aquariums, the Trabzon Aquarium has established itself as the longest aquarium in the entire world.
WHAT THE CLIENT NEEDED
BACTERIA INACTIVATION AND CRYSTAL-CLEAR WATER
The client needed to obtain two primary goals. Firstly, to guarantee a crystal-clear viewer experience for the visitors, and secondly to ensure optimal water conditions for the 5.000 fish from 80 different species to thrive, including piranha and shark.
Doing so requires continuous bacteria inactivation, which is guaranteed through utilizing UV systems that are powerful enough to deliver the correct UV dose.
THE SOLUTION
UV SYSTEMS OPTIMIZED FOR AQUARIUM DISINFECTION
To guarantee the necessary bacteria inactivation and crystal-clear water for such a large-scale aquarium, a total of 18 UV systems were installed:
- 6x MR1-75PP
- 3x MR2-75PP
- 7x MR1-220PP
- 2x MR4-220PP
By utilizing UV systems that are made from Polypropylene (PP) material, excellent durability and corrosion resistance are ensured. The PP material has a proven track record for installation in these kinds of environments, proving its long-term durability and efficiency. Additionally, the UV systems are optimized for low maintenance requirements, which removes labor-intensive and complicated processes.
Including UV systems for the disinfection processes will now guarantee durable microorganism control and excellent water clarity levels for the next many years, as well as ensure that the maintenance requirements are kept to a minimum.
