AQUARIUM IN MALAYSIA
The Aquaria KLCC is a state-of-the-art aquarium in Malaysia, located in the heart of the city, beneath the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and a stone’s throw from the iconic Twin Towers.
WHAT THE CLIENT NEEDED
WATER CLARITY AND DISINFECTION
The aquarium needed to maintain a consistent clarity of the water, while at the same time achieving its prophylactic measurement for the fish water tanks by inactivation of bacteria, microorganisms (protozoa type), and fish parasites (ich, nematode, etc.).
THE SOLUTION
POLYPROPYLENE UV SYSTEM INTEGRATION
To ensure proper conditions for the marine life in the aquarium, a reliable disinfection protocol had to be established. These needs were perfectly accommodated by UV technology, which will now replace the former ozonation system, providing a major sustainability upgrade.
ULTRAAQUA was selected due to the availability of PP (Polypropylene) material used for the chamber construction, proven track record in the aquaculture industry, and availability of local support through the channel partner, Hydro Nusantara.
The installed UV system will now ensure microorganism control and the right water clarity levels for many years to come while providing low maintenance requirements and excellent durability due to the Polypropylene chamber material.
