SWIMMING POOL IN SPAIN
APNEA is an association for parents of children with special needs, located in Alicante, Spain. The association recently chose to expand their recreational facilities to include a small indoor pool to provide a safe and relaxing environment for the children.
Due to the inspiration of a nearby ULTRAAQUA installation in the municipality which offered great bathing quality water, the members of the association chose to upgrade their UV system in the indoor pool, to secure a safer environment for the children.
WHAT THE CLIENT NEEDED
A SAFE POOL ENVIRONMENT
With the wish of a safer water environment, the local ULTRAAQUA partner aimed to ensure a wide range of improvements compared to the previously installed UV system.
These improvements included an automatic cleaning system, decreasing electricity consumption, easy touch screen operation where all system inputs are controlled, a reduction of the space needed for installing the system, as well as remote control availability due to the Modbus configuration.
Last but not least, a guaranteed reduction of chlorine is a pivotal aspect of the installation.
THE SOLUTION
STATE-OF-THE-ART POOL OPTIMIZED UV SYSTEM
In order to live up to the wide range of defined improvements, the right UV system was selected for the water treatment conditions. This led to the installation of a MULTIRAY MP2000 system with an advanced control system allowing all the advanced operation possibilities.
Already after a few weeks of the MULTIRAY MP2000 system in operation, the head of the Apnea association commented on the installation:
“Since the UV system was switched on, we do no longer feel any smell of chlorine when we are in the pool with our children. This makes us sure that the pool is completely beneficial without any harm for us. Furthermore, we can fix the set point of chlorine on our controller system to a lower point, 0.7, so the feeling of chlorine in the water is almost nil. Lastly, we do no longer have to be worried about maintenance, as the system does not require any maintenance, as well as the availability of a local partner (Atlantica Agua).”
The client has since recommended implementing UV technology for every indoor pool installation.
