INTRODUCTION
ULTRALOW UV TRANSMISSION ULU UV SYSTEMS
ULTRAAQUA UV ULU series is designed for fluids that have extremely low UV transmission (UVT): from 2 – 40%. ULU series is engineered specifically for UV disinfection of fluids like liquid sugar, wine, salt brines, and many more. The standard UV systems available in the market cannot eliminate pathogenic microorganisms found in these fluids due to the low transmission of the UV light.
As the result, ULTRAAQUA UV engineered and hydraulically optimized reactors with a small space between the reactor walls and quartz sleeve in a reactor. With space reduced significantly – the fluid flows in the thin film form, exposing it evenly to the UV light and giving an even dose distribution. Additional ULU UV series ingenuity is its modular design – it is possible to connect as many ULU UV reactors as required – either 2 or 20 – to deliver high-purity water mandatory in food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
Furthermore, ULU series can be equipped with both – LPHO ULTRATHERM™ UV lamps for standard disinfection or 185nm Vacuum UV lamps for photolysis that can be used for TOC reduction and other micropollutants. With their operational and design features, ULU series is the best available disinfection solution for low transmission fluids available in today’s market.
