PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
ULTRALOW ULU UV SYSTEMS
The Ultralow ULU series is developed specifically for applications with extremely low UV transmission (UVT) from >2%. This makes it excellent for UV disinfection of fluids such as liquid sugar, wine, salt brines, etc. Standard UV systems are not able to effectively eliminate pathogenic microorganisms found in these types of fluids due to the low transmission of UV light.
The small distance between the reactor walls and the quartz sleeve ensures an evenly distributed UV light exposure to guarantee hydraulic optimization and even dose distribution. The ULU series ingenuity is its modular design, which makes it possible to connect as many ULU UV reactors as required – either 2 or 20 – to deliver high-purity water for applications such as food & beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
Additionally, the ULU series can be equipped with either LPHO ULTRATHERM UV lamps for standard disinfection, or 185nm vacuum UV lamps for photolysis, used for TOC reduction and other micropollutants.
